I’ve encountered hundreds of YouTubers who succeeded without taking any course: online or offline.
However, training is one thing that makes your youtube journey easy.
Finding effective and affordable training would save you a lot of stress and increase the probability of reaching success.
I’ve reviewed hundreds of youtube courses and found some interesting courses that offer immense value.
YouTube courses like Awesome Creator Academy and YouTube Backstage provide an in-depth concept that would 10x your results.
I will share below everything I’ve found about the Part-time Youtuber Academy course and what you should watch out for.
TLDR;
Part-Time Youtuber Academy has produced hundreds of successful YouTubers. It is a course loaded with value for content creators.
This course isn’t for a complete beginner, it is targeted at intermediate creators who have already started their Youtube journey.
But the course price can be a downside to many. If price isn’t a deal breaker for you, then it’s a course worth taking.
That said, I recommend an alternative for beginners, Youtube Backstage by Techlead. This course has also produced hundreds of student results.
It offers lifetime access to the course and also a private Facebook community that serves as an accountability partner to help you show up consistently.
Overview of Part-Time Youtuber Academy
Part-time YouTube academy (PTYA) would take you anywhere from 4 – 6 weeks. And it’s self-paced meaning you’re in charge of what you get out of the course.
The first part is choosing which package you’ll opt for. I shared the pricing packages later in the review.
Ali Abdaal promises to take your YouTube effort to ninja level or give your money back. The aim is to show you how to take your YouTube channel and business from its current level to a more profitable height.
PTYA covers everything there is to know about YouTubing and provides extra benefits, including online communities and private consulting sessions.
Under some of the packages offered, you’ll even get to work directly with experts who work with Ali Adaal.
The best part of the course is the feedback and review sessions, where experts check your YouTube channel and videos during the course and provide you with ideas to help improve your activities.
Who are the course instructors (or guests)?
Before getting into the details of the courses and what other students have to say, let’s have a quick review of the course creator, his credentials, and the facts of other instructors you’ll come across.
First, the Part-time Youtuber Academy is the brainchild of Ali Adaal. If you’re conversant with online YouTube courses, you’ve come across his name a couple of times.
Ali made a reputation after launching his content creation moves along with his medical work. Before going into YouTube full-time, he worked as a medical doctor in the UK and ran a successful YouTube channel on the side.
Within two years, he grew his YouTube channel from zero to two million subscribers: a feat that takes some YouTubers several years to achieve.
From my findings, he finally walked away from medicine to take on YouTubing and other training programs he offers full-time.
On the side, Ali Abdaal is also a podcaster and a host of other things.
In reality, no one should even think of running a medical career and a YouTube business at the same time. Those two are some of the most demanding jobs anyone can get into.
What I’ve realized about Ali is that he puts himself into his work, commits to his goals and dreams and he is walking his talk.
He promises to teach students how to grow their channels no matter how busy they are and he’s gladly done that for himself.
Guest Instructor Profile
Ali is not the only instructor featured in the Part-time YouTube Academy. Other successful YouTubers pitch in once in a while to help students master different aspects of YouTube success.
Some of the guest instructors you’ll likely see within the course include:
Unjaded Jade
Jade is an OG Studytuber and Podcaster whose YouTube channel has over 800k subscribers, and is still growing. Being a student in Buenos Aires, Jade shares her take on the part-time YouTube process.
How she combines the demanding work of growing her channel with her coursework. She discloses her routine and how she’s been able to put out quality content, despite her coursework
She’ll help you understand how to stay positive and enhance your mental health while pursuing your YouTube success.
Lana Blakely
Lana has raked in over 1 million subscribers to her YouTube channel. She’ll teach you how to stay happy and maintain your well-being while you work on growing your channel.
Also, note that Lana operates her YouTube channel solo and she still went on to realize so much success. She shares her tips on how to manage it alone if you don’t have the resources to outsource.
Ed (from Film Booth)
Ed is a content expert with over half a million subscribers. He is passionate about helping YouTube craft content strategy to help them reach their potential as creators.
He’ll share insight into creating content that resonates with your audience emotionally. He’ll also show you how to increase your audience’s watch time and become more entertaining.
Nathaniel Drew
Drew is a filmmaker with over 1.6 million subscribers on his channel. He’ll share his YouTube process with you during the course and how he approaches his creativity. He’ll show you how to reach a point where content creation is a natural part of your life.
Who is it for?
I don’t think a Part-time Youtuber academy is for everybody: Ali Adaal believes otherwise though.
The marketing message of the course says it’s for anyone who wants to start a successful youtube channel. But I’ll defer in my view and I have my reasons for that.
Listen to what one student thinks:
A recognized online reviewer has this to say:
I’m not the only one who thinks that course is more suited for intermediate YouTubers.
The course content is not fully basic. Some of the knowledge shared within the course would be best fitted for YouTubers who have a couple of experiences under their belts.
The feedback provided by the instructors and video reviewers may yield the utmost results for anyone just getting into YouTubing for the first time.
My review is not an attempt to berate the part-time YouTuber academy in any way.
The course is, by far, one of the best you’ll find online. I’ve shared several positive remarks below and why I think you should take the course if you can afford it.
However, mentioning up front that you’ll find the course more effective as an intermediate YouTuber would help you better make your decisions and maximize your training investment.
If I were just starting my youtube journey, I’d rather opt for YouTube Backstage and I have my reasons.
How does Part-Time Youtube Academy Help You Make Money?
Youtube’s success is based on two things: first is consistency and two is quality. One of the core advantages of a Part-time Youtuber academy is that it helps you optimize your youtube operations.
The goal of the platform is to help you draw a solid content creation plan, which makes it easy to remain consistent with your creative process.
In addition to that, you get consistent reviews, feedback, and suggestions from instructors throughout your time in the course.
The feedback and consistency result in massive results and positive progress for your channel.
How much you’ll make by taking the course depends on several factors, but if you follow and implement the knowledge shared during the course, you can be sure you’ll see results.
But, it’s not like you’ll start seeing instant massive results by taking the course. Even the course info page has this to say to you:
It’s not a magic process. The result you’ll derive is still subject to process and takes some time, but you’ll likely see results if you follow through.
The instructors taking the course are very experienced in the YouTubing industry and they have a reputation for helping other students reach success.
What is inside the Part-Time Youtuber Academy?
Ali Abdaal has a simple youtube success framework he follows: Create, Post, Repeat. He believes that doing these consistently is the secret to achieving immense success with any online business: not only youtube.
He’s structured a Part-time Youtuber academy to also equip students with the ability to do this effectively and efficiently.
The course runs for 4 weeks. Each week covers different aspects of mapping out your youtube success strategy.
Week 1 features how to succeed on youtube.
It’s a quick overview of what it takes to start and build a successful youtube channel.
Week 2 focuses on how to come up with great content ideas and how to create high-quality videos.
Week 3 shows you how to increase your watch show and keep your audience glued to their screen.
Week 4 shares insider secrets, hacks, and business with you helping you overtake the competition stay profitable, and stay ahead of the pack.
One unique thing I’ve found about the course, though, is its practical approach to training. There Are no vague and abstract concepts. Everything within the course is hands-on and applicable.
There are other values included in the courses.
First is training delivered by accomplished YouTubers, where they share their experiences and secrets with you.
Another value included in the course is lifetime access to the PTYA community. The community features online events and support programs.
Unfortunately, Ali is not as active in the community as he was when he created the platform, but there are other instructors managing the platform as effectively as possible.
Are students getting results?
So far, over two thousand students have passed through the course in 6 cohorts. It’s impossible to keep a system that doesn’t deliver results alive.
To say that Part-time Youtuber Academy doesn’t deliver on its promise is to insult the judgment of over two thousand people.
Hundreds of students have testimonies to demonstrate the value derived from the courses.
However, as I mentioned earlier, what you get out of a part-time YouTuber academy, is subject to your commitment.
You’ll have all the help, knowledge, motivation, and feedback you need to take your effort to the next level. The will to follow through and apply what you learn determines how much success you’ll generate from the course.
Here’s what a student has to say about the course:

How much does the Part-Time Youtuber Academy cost (price)?
PTYA offers three pricing models, each featuring unique benefits. For each pricing model, there is an opportunity to pay in three installments.

Premium $2995
It features the offers contained in the essential package, plus lifetime access to future course updates. You’ll also be assigned accountability partners to help you reach your goals.

Also, you’re given exec-only access to exclusive slack channels that grant you an audience with Ali for support during the course. You’re also granted access to the experts that work with Ali on his YouTube channel.
Finally, you have lifetime unrestricted access to all future updates of the program.
What I think About the Price:
I’ll say the prices are on the high side. While the training offers immense value for your money, not everyone can afford a course at this price, especially beginners.
There are some equally detailed and elaborate youtube courses on the internet that are almost a fraction of PTYA prices. Awesome Creator Academy is an example.
I’ve checked through hundreds of reviews of training and courses online. You’ll need to know that every course has its strengths and downside. It’s up to you to decide if the upside of the course fits your immediate needs.
Are there any discount offers?
PTYA does not provide any form of discounted offers.
However, the platform offers Scholarship arrangements. You’ll be required to meet certain criteria to apply for the scholarship.
The scholarship gives 200 students full access to the PTYA Essential package.
Refund Policy
PTYA offers you a full refund if you are not satisfied with the program. However, you are expected to follow through with the coursework and receive feedback for your work before you would enjoy the money-back guarantee.
The aim is to ensure that you give them a chance to help you. It takes about 60 days to get your money back. If you meet the criteria, you’ll surely get your money back.

Conclusion – should you buy the course?
Being a YouTube user could quickly become stressful if you don’t figure out how to optimize your content creation process.
Every newbie on YouTube comes into the game feeling like it’s going to be a smooth ride until they begin to encounter the tough challenges of content creation.
Should you buy a Part-time YouTube Academy course to help you increase your chance of success? My answer is yes. I strongly recommend the course for its values.
Candidly, of the three payment Packages offered by PTYA, I’ve found the executive package to be the one with the highest value. Youtubing is not just about content creation. You need consistent help to get it right.
The only package that gives you much more than knowledge is the executive package. If you want to get the most value for your investment and can afford it, that’s your best chance.
Here are the top alternatives to Part-Time Youtuber Academy (and Affordable)
The pricing of PTYA could be quite restrictive. Several newbies and even intermediate youtube may be able to afford it.
Part-time Youtube Academy is not the only online course that provides immense value to students.
I’ve shared below two formidable alternatives that give you similar values or even more, yet at a lower cost compared to PTYA.
Youtube Backstage
Youtube Backstage is a full-fledged youtube course that teaches the business side of building successful youtube channels.
The aim is to help you reach profitability with your channel. Interestingly, the course instructor is one of the most popular YouTube figures in the tech industry: TechLead.
It features the behind-the-scenes strategies that Techlead leveraged to build his successful youtube channel.
In the course, you’ll learn how to build an online business around your youtube channel. You’ll learn how to effectively monetize your channel for maximum profit.
You’ll be given the strategy and secrets that’s helped the likes of TechLead grow giant youtube channels.
You need to know that TechLead’s channel gathered up to 32 million views within a year. If you’re not someone with over 33 million views, learning from TechLead could be a good move.
He’s promised to show you how to build your million-dollar channel. I might not be able to promise you that this would happen but there is proof that students who’ve gone through the course have success stories to share.
Youtube Backstage is not only a comparative alternative to PTYA, but it’s also a more affordable alternative that costs a fraction of what you’ll commit towards PTYA.
It’ll only require an investment of $397 for lifetime access to the course. Mind you, if you join the program early enough, you’re likely to enjoy the ongoing discount of almost 25%, which takes about $100 away from the cost.
You may end up paying $297 for lifetime access. That’s about 900% less than you’ll pay for PTYA.
What are you paying for?
- Lifetime access to over 70 lessons covering everything you need to know about youtube business
- Lifetime access to an exclusive community of like-minded people
- Access to Techlead: one of the best people to show you how to succeed
- Access to future updates
- And a lot more.
If you’re dissatisfied with what you paid for, you’ll get a refund within 14 days of registration. Remember that you’ll not get a refund if you’ve viewed more than 40% of the course’s content.
Awesome Creator Academy
The second alternative you can opt for is the Awesome Creator Academy. It’s also a more affordable hands-on youtube mastery course.
The course creator is Roberto Blake, a renowned YouTuber with evident success in the affiliate marketing niche.
Unlike PTYA or Youtube Backstage, Awesome Creator Academy has a broader scope. It covers different aspects of content creation, not necessarily limited to Youtube.
The aim is to help creators build a successful brand and online business.
Ideally, you’ll enjoy the course more if you’re looking at going into youtube full-time because the course is more centered on how to make money with your content.
Like Youtube backstage, you’ll be paying a fraction of what you’ll pay for PYTA to take this course. The total cost ranges from $59 to $699, depending on what you hope to achieve.
A wide range of programs exists on the platform to help you maximize your content business. And rake in enormous profits.
The course includes weekly live training, access to the content library and archive of past raising calls, a private group for feedback and support, an immense library of resources and templates, and mentorship.
Here’s what student has to say about awesome creators academy
Should you buy the alternatives?
These two courses are cheaper alternatives that you can take for a fraction of the cost you’ll pay at PTYA, and you’ll get the same value.
Interestingly, each of these courses is beginner friendly. You’ll learn from people who’ve built successful YouTube channels.
Part-time youtube academy offers immense insider details of building a successful youtube channel and business. However, the price could make it unaffordable to most newbie YouTubers.
I’ve taken the liberty to review Several YouTube courses, and the alternatives are much cheaper.
If you can’t afford the Part-time YouTuber academy, opt for the alternatives, they all offer similar values and would give you the results you seek.
Conclusion
I strongly recommend Part-time Youtube Academy. However, I don’t assume everyone can shell out five thousand dollars without breaking the bank.
So, I’ll also ask you to switch to more affordable alternatives if you can’t afford PTYA. Generally, these courses offer nearly the same values with little perks here and there.
When you earn sizeable income applying what you learn from one course, you can reinvest your earnings in other courses.
Do I recommend PTYA? Yes. I also recommend Youtube backstage and Awesome creators academy.
