Leon Howard’s Wall Street Trapper University is currently one of the platforms out there that teaches absolute beginners the ins and outs of trading in the stock market.
While the Wall Street Trapper University Course offers valuable insights for beginners, there are a few potential downsides to consider:
👎 Cost – The course is arguably an expensive course and isn’t worth it considering the fact that there are better alternatives.
👎 Basic for beginners – the course is only targeted towards beginners. Even though the sales page might say otherwise, an intermediate trader won’t find it helpful.
👎 There are better alternatives in the market that are affordable and offer better value for money.
Instead of the Wall Street Trapper University, we recommend Day Trading Addict Course, which is a comprehensive day trading course with an active community and custom indicators.
The course has a lot of positive testimonials when compared to other trading courses in the industry. There are students who have generated multiple six figures from trading just by following his advice.
Ben, the course instructor, is also a seven-figure trader who has been in the industry for over a decade.
This post is about his ultimate stock market trading course: Wall Street Trapper.
Although I do not fully endorse this course, in this in-depth review, I’m going to be fair and tell you everything you need to know about it.
I’ll be reviewing:
- What the course is all about
- The different programs you’ll encounter inside
- How much the program cost
- And what students are saying about it
So if an in-depth Wall Street Trapper Course review is what you’re looking for, you just landed on the right page.
Without further ado, let’s get started.
Overview Of Wall Street Trapper Course
Wall Street Trapper course is an online stock market investment course by self-acclaimed stock market guru, YouTuber, and Social media influencer, Leon Howard.
Leon designed the course to teach people who don’t know anything about the stock market how to trade like a pro.
From basic concepts like what the stock market is, bidding, bull/bear market, and dividends to advanced concepts like arbitrage, beta, call/put options, short selling, etc.
The apex aim of the Trapper course is not just to teach you the technicals of trading stocks, but also how to make profits, build wealth, and escape THE TRAP.
Like many of his other Wall Street trading courses, Leon reveals 3 stocks that he believes would make – and have made – many of his students wealthy and financially (debt) free within 12 – 18 months.
But why should you trust Leon?
Especially considering the high price tag of the course. And the possibility that you might find what he’ll teach you for free online?
Let’s take a look at the background of the Trapper G behind the course: Leon Howard.
Brief Background Of The Creator/Instructor: Leon Howard
Growing up as a New Orleans ghetto kid, Leon Howard’s life hasn’t always been rock and roll.
He never had the opportunity to meet his father, his mother was incarcerated for drug abuse, and his grandmother passed away in the same period.
Just at the age of 16, he was sentenced to 10 years in prison on charges of Marijuana and Firearms distribution.
For many teens of this age bracket, being incarcerated at such a young age might have set their life on the wrong path.
But for Leon, it led to a life-changing encounter that set him on the path to wealth when he got out.
In prison, Leon met a cellmate who opened his eyes to the world of wealth in America.
Using the words: “Y’all playing the wrong game”, Leon’s cellmate showed him how we’ve all been indoctrinated into a system that promises us wealth and freedom, and how it was a TRAP.
According to Leon, “For the longest, we’ve been taught to give our time for money, put it in a savings account and just let it sit… That’s not going to build generational wealth”
The eureka moment was when his cellmate exposed him to the three assets that the rich put their money into; Business, Stocks, and Real Estate.
Post-release, Leon dedicated his every waking moment to learning entrepreneurship and the ins and outs of the stock market.
Today he’s a product of wealth made from Wall Street and on a mission of helping the average person escape the TRAP using Wall Street Trapper.
Courses in Wall Street Trapper University
Leon has many courses dedicated to every aspect of the stock market as an investment.
But at Wall Street Trapper University, he bundles everything into three main courses:
- Wall Street Trappin
- Marijuana Trappin
- Jumping Off The Porch
Let’s look at the details of each course.
Wall Street Trappin
Wall Street Tappin is the main course at Wall Street Trapper University and the center of Leon Howard’s message.
This is the course where he teaches everything he thinks you need to know about wealth.
The basics of financial literacy like savings and paying yourself first, and the mindset framework you need to trade on Wall Street.
Then he dives into the basics of stock market trading. From how the stock market works, and how to choose and set up a brokerage account to the ins and out of stocks research.
It’s all about the technical (boring or interesting) aspects of stock trading.
You’ll learn many stock trading terminologies, how to price stocks, stock trading mistakes to avoid, and more.
Truth be told, even if you have zero knowledge of what money is, at the end of this course you would probably qualify for a degree in financial literacy and stock market trading.
Marijuana Trappin
As the name implies, this course aims to teach you how to invest in the weed industry.
If you’ve been following Leon for a while, you’re probably familiar with him saying there are three stocks he believes will make any stock trader rich.
Turns out Marijuana stocks are top of his list.
In the Marijuana Trappin course, he breaks down how the weed industry works, the risks involved, and how to navigate the legal aspects of the business.
One aspect of this course that stands out is the module on “ETFs and Websites”.
This is the module where Leon teaches how to invest for both safety and profits using Marijuana ETFs.
What’s more? Marijuana Trappin is much more than investing in Marijuana stocks.
It also includes lessons on how to find your plug and sell weed.
So if all you’re interested in is becoming a Marijuana entrepreneur, this course would be helpful.
Jumping Off The Porch
Last but not least one of the Wall Street Trapper University courses is Jumping Off The Porch.
Although this course looks like an excerpt from the major course, Wall Street Trappin, it’s a stand-alone guide to getting started with the stock market.
It’s all about setting up your first portfolio.
In this 2 hours video course series, Leon teaches the basics of ETFs, Index funds, and handling your stock watchlist.
Then he dives into more investment disciplines like value investing, dividend investing, and growth investing.
I’d say the Jumping Off The Porch course is for total beginners that are ready to start trading right now.
What We Like About Wall Street Trapper University
Quality Video Lessons
I think every student that has taken Leon’s course would agree that he invests in quality recording equipment to make his videos.
The video learning experience is top-notch.
Even the whole learning experience is awesome.
You can take the course from any device: laptop or mobile phone.
This is unlike many paid courses that have worse video quality than amateur YouTube videos.
Engaging And Conversational Teaching Style
If you’re a follower of Leon Howard, you know he’s very good at teaching.
He uses simple conversational grammar, and easy-to-follow illustrations to explain complex stock trading concepts, like he’s talking to a 5-year-old.
His lessons are actionable: more practical than theories.
If you want to get a feel for Leon’s teaching styles you can check some of his videos on YouTube.
Self Paced Course
As expected, the courses at Wall Street Trapper University are self-paced.
You can start and finish whenever you like.
Also, you don’t have to finish one module to unlock the next. You can jump into any new topic if you’re already familiar with previous ones.
What We Do Not Like About Wall Street Trapper Course
Here are some of the cons of the University. Though some of these reasons might be relative, for instance, the cost of the course.
Well, Expensive Course
I know you saw that coming. Wall Street Trapper University is a high-ticket playf9rm for people willing to dole out thousands of dollars for it.
If you’re going to enroll in the three major courses we talked about in this review, you’d be paying – precisely – $1391 for them.
The Wall Street Trappin Course cost $997.
The Marijuana Trappin Course cost $297.
And the Jumping Off The Porch Course cost $97.
Although, high prices can be used to filter unserious students. But is that really why Trapper’s course is so expensive?
No Refund Policy
I think it is a red flag that Wall Street Trapper University does not offer a refund considering how expensive their courses are.
Not only do they lack a refund policy, but they also do not have a flexible pricing plan to allow students to try out the product at a cheaper price.
Too Many Courses
I thought $1300 should be able to give me access to all of Leon Howard’s learning library. Turns out I was wrong.
When he adds new courses to the University – not new modules this time – you’ll have to purchase it to get access to it.
There are 4 more eBooks you need to buy which he kindly bundles for a single price of $59.99.
He added another new course, “They Panic We Eat” which goes for $57.
The problem is none of these extra materials have any lessons that are unique to what you’ll find on his previous courses or YouTube channel.
Shady Testimonials and Promises.
There’s one major testimonial Wall Street Trapper loves to showcase.
“18 months ago I had $10.46 in my account, now 18 months later I passed 100k in that same account…”. The question is, how do you purchase a thousand-dollar course with just $10.46 to your name?
It seems shady to me.
Also, Leon’s big promise is that you would earn a yearly 8% return on your stock market investment.
Hitting that kind of home run may not be unrealistic, but even professional stock market analysts have difficulty beating the market to that.
The truth is if you don’t already have enough money to invest, getting financially free off the stock market is an audacious goal.
No Refund Policy
This is a general disadvantage for digital products, including Wall Street Trapper Courses.
There is no refund when you purchase a digital product. You should know that beforehand.
But if you’re still fine with taking the risk, it’s up to you.
No Community
The only community available to Wall Street Trapper University students is the ones you’ll find online for free on social media – with paid students and just fans.
For $1,300 you don’t get any insider community in your package!
Well, there’s one: Trappers Anonymous.
But like every other Trapper University add-ons you’ll have to pay an extra $47.99 per month to access the community. That’s why I said he’s milking his students.
Not Beginner Friendly
The brand of Wall Street Trapper stands on being created for the average person. But in reality, the courses aren’t beginner-friendly.
No Regular Update
It’s a minus for Wall Street Trapper University that the courses are not consistently updated.
This is an important thing I look out for when reviewing courses, and the Wall Street Trapper did not pass.
Wall Street Trapper University Students’ Reviews
It’s not surprising to find tons of positive Wall Street Trapper reviews online.
Because the truth is told, Leon Howard is a good teacher with millions of followers, and many people find his message relatable. Plus he’s an inspiration to lots of people.
The problem is, the only reviews – positive or negative – you’ll find on his courses – not YouTube videos – are the ones on his websites.
I did my research online and found little to no review of other students that have indeed enrolled for Wall Street Trapper University.
Although he claims that over 20,000 students have rated his training at 4.7 out of 5 stars.
So let’s look at some of the reviews we found on his site:
The most popular review is the case study of Mr. Elderly Anderson who went from just $10 to $100k in 18 months.
Now, to the ultimate question…
Is Wall Street Trapper University Worth It?
No, I do not think Wall Street Trapper University is worth it.
First, everything on Wall Street Trappin can be learned for free online, so it’s not worth spending a fortune to get.
The price tag for these courses is too expensive for a beginner. Also, it is also discouraging that Leon Howard is technically the only instructor for his courses.
Trading thrives more on experience and no matter how experienced an instructor his, nothing beats bringing in experts to talk about their various fields.
Another reason why I do not recommend his courses is the no refund policy. It is too much of a risk for a newbie to take.
Lastly, there is a better course out there; The Trading Floor.
I recommend The Trading Floor which is a better course and has a team of experienced traders who you can count on.
More importantly, the course has an active community where you’ll get access to custom indicators from the team.
The course also comes with weekly live sessions where you can learn from other traders.
So far, it is one of the best trading courses out there. The best part is that it has a monthly and annual pricing plan that is affordable for beginners and advanced traders.
Conclusion
That’s it for my review of the Wall Street Trapper Course.
It’s time to hear from you.
Have you enrolled in Wall Street Trapper University?
What’s your review of the platform – not his YouTube channel or Instagram posts and podcasts?
If you haven’t enrolled yet, are you considering it? (PS: I recommend The Trading Floor)
