When mentioning the list of the best trading courses for beginners, should the Traveling Trader Academy be included?
In this review, I will be doing a step-by-step breakdown of what the Traveling Trader Academy is all about.
At the end of the review, you can make an informed decision you’ll not regret. Promise.
TLDR; Summary
The Traveling Trader is just one of the many trading courses out there. There are a lot of them out there.
The Traveling Trader offers an option course and a day trading course. The youtube channel is very helpful and offers a lot of information.
However, I do not recommend the academy because there is no transparency about the course. You have to book a call in order to show interest.
Plus, there are other alternatives. The Humbled Trader Academy is one I recommend. Although a bit pricey, there are a lot of amazing results from students who have taken the course.
So, if you are going to take a trading course, I recommend The Humbled Trader Academy which offers you a community of profitable traders.
The Traveling Trader Real Name
When you browse the Traveling Trader’s website or his YouTube channel, you will notice that he doesn’t mention his name. He likes to address himself with the first letter of his name, which is “Z. ‘
The Z comes from Zach. That’s his real name. He will mention it in your pre-registration call with him.
Zach, or Z for short, is an American day and options trader based in Los Angeles.
He loves to spend his time travelling, as many stock traders do. And he takes his trading with him wherever he goes.
The Traveling Trader’s Net Worth
As of date, we don’t have much data on The Traveling Trader’s net worth. But we can salvage some details from his background story.
Zach’s always been interested in finance and the stock exchange market since he was small. When he was nine, his dad bought him shares in Kellogg and Nintendo.
He went to college and studied finance but wasn’t satisfied because he was not learning what he wanted to know—reading charts, technical analysis, trader’s psychology, and more.
Zach worked at a financial firm but quit the job. He later taught himself coding and became a software developer. By that time, he had acquired considerable expertise in trading stocks.
According to Zach, he eventually started making four to five figures from trading in a day—many times more than his paycheck as a software developer.
Hence, given the length of time Zach has been trading lucrative stocks, we can expect him to rank among the multi-million dollar stock traders.
The Traveling Trader Academy
The Traveling Trader Academy (let’s call it TTT) is Zach’s online trading academy. That’s where he delves into everything a newbie to the stock market needs to know before pulling off his first trades.
Inside the TTT, you get two courses; the day trading course and the options trade course. Both systems contain up to 60 lessons in total.
The TTT also gives you access to premium features like stock market research, news, analyst forecast, and more.
During the tutorials, Zach will show you his strategies to make successful trades that spelt jackpots.
Of course, every stock trader (Zach included) has made huge mistakes that sent their trade on a nosedive. Zach will show that as well and how he recovered from such plunges.
The best part of the academy is how it teaches you to stay afloat in any market season, whether bullish or bearish.
I should also add that the Academy contains actionable training on technical and fundamental analysis, so you don’t have to rely on guesswork and gut feelings when picking trades or choosing between taking your profit or letting the trade run.
The Traveling Trader Options Course
The Traveling Trader Options Course is Zach’s 40-lesson long course to arm you with enough information to make the most out of options trading.
Trading options can be a tricky game for even experienced stock traders and is best left to professional traders.
If you are an aspiring trader, the Options course will teach you how to determine your footing in the stock market, and then you can tailor your expectations for your trade to that.
Should you do a long call or an asset or buy a long put on that asset? What are your expectations for the volatility of that asset in the short-term to the long-term window? How do you mitigate your losses if you make a wrong call?
How do you hedge market risks? What are straddles and protective puts?
Those are just some of the questions an Options trader should ask before getting started, and Z answers them in his Options trading course. Let me give you a peek into the curriculum.
Intro
There’s a technical analysis lesson here, and then Z takes off to the basic stuff about options. You will learn what calls and puts are in this part.
Digging Deeper
This is where Z starts breaking down many terminologies in options trading.
There’s a lot to cover here, from the Greeks (all the factors that go into predicting the price of an option) to the in-money, out-money, and at cash.
Strikes and expirations are also covered in this section.
Buying vs. Selling
Like many other trades, you buy and sell assets in Options trading. In this course section, you will learn what is involved in both processes.
You will also learn how to determine when it’s the right time to buy or sell in options trading.
Money-Making War Strategies For Options
Stock prices can crash, dip, tumble, or skyrocket quite unpredictably. It’s not hard to see why Z calls this section war strategies.
Anyways, this is where you will get acquainted with such terms as vertical spreads. They represent different strategies which help you make a profit and cushion your losses.
Robinhood Module
Options traders will know this term well. It’s not some robotic metal bird from a sci-fi movie but rather compliments other strategies in options trading.
After this section, you will know how to choose between a vertical spread and an iron condor, depending on the market trajectory.
The Traveling Trader Price
The Traveling Trader is billed at $497 for the options trade course. For the day trading course, you must book a call with Zach to get the details.
Available Discounts
There are currently no discounts for the Traveling Trader Academy. Or at least none are displayed on the website.
Refund Policy
If you want to cancel your subscription to the course, you have to do that on or before the last two business days before the expiration of that plan.
Of course, by then, it will be too late to qualify for a refund, so it is preferable to cancel your subscription within a week of payment to avoid any issues.
Pros
• The course provides one-on-one assistance from Zach and his team of coaches and gives you access to a community.
• There are trade alerts for every kind of market; stocks, futures, options, and cryptocurrency. These help you take out much of the guesswork from your trades.
• The course is among the more affordable ones, and lifetime access is a given once you pay.
• It helps that you can discuss with Zach your trading goals before deciding to purchase the course. This pre-registration coaching is free.
• The curriculum is continuously updated to reflect the latest trends and effective strategies.
Cons
• Zach talks too fast in some of his videos. It can also be a challenge following his train of thought sometimes, especially in the more complex parts.
• You might not always get the answers you need from the community. Many others are in the community, and your question or comment might get ignored.
• Some topics and concepts in the courses don’t get adequate coverage.
Student Reviews
So far, so good; the Traveling Trader Academy has garnered many positive reviews from past students.
Here are some of them:
Is it a Scam?
The Traveling Trader Academy is not a scam. Zach has been active in the finance and trading space for a long time, and you can tell he’s an expert in the field when you watch his videos.
He’s also consistently publishing new content on his YouTube channel and in the academy to bring updates to the stock market.
Remember the Silicon Valley Bank closure? Zach is already talking about it on his channel. Besides, there are a lot of videos he allows free access to via his YouTube channel.
You can use those videos to judge whether paying for the Traveling Trader Academy is worth it or not.
In conclusion, the Traveling Trader Academy is a safe bet for any who is new to day trading and options trading.
