This is a detailed 90 Day VA review.
Many of the popular VA courses out there are underwhelming, to say the least.
One common flaw among them is the fact that they only give technical training (which may even be shallow) while leaving you in the dark as to how to source for clients.
With that in mind, I decided to try out the 90-Day VA course, as it promised to deliver a better experience than what I had seen almost everywhere else.
This review documents my findings and final impression of the 90-Day VA. Keep reading for everything you need to know about it before you pay or pass.
Let’s get the ball rolling.
🤔 What Is The 90 Day VA Course?
The 90 Day VA course is a training program for people who want to become virtual assistants and generate online income from it.
Esther Inman is the course creator and chief instructor. According to her, you can learn the skill of virtual assistance in 90 days (3 months) or less and set up an online business with it.
The 90 Day VA course is subscription-based and consists of videos discussing everything involved in becoming a virtual assistant. These videos allow you to learn at your own pace, although you will always need an internet connection to access them.
The 90 Day VA course also packs a ton of bonuses with it, such as a Facebook community, access to Esther’s recommendation of top VA software, and other resources, et cetera.
The training you get in the 90 Day VA is complemented with assignments. As you complete each training section, the relevant homework will follow, which you can submit to the Facebook group for feedback.
💡 Is Esther Inman Trustworthy?
Esther Inman is the face of the 90 Day VA course. She is a self-made freelance VA who was once a military spouse and is now a single mom.
Esther decided to pick up VA as a side hustle as she wasn’t terribly pleased with her hectic schedule. Soon enough, she had made enough money from the skill to turn it from a side hustle into full-time employment.
And then, she set out to create the 90 Day VA course, one of the three major resources she made for aspiring VAs. Esther is also the founder of the VAI (Virtual Assistant Internship)
So yes, she is trustworthy.
💪 Who Is 90 Day VA Best For?
Esther Inman doesn’t leave us in the dark as to who was on her mind as she was putting the course together.
According to a post on her website, the course is for:
- Moms
- Professionals
- Travel lovers
Really, anyone who doesn’t fancy their current busy schedule can enroll for the VA course and start on the journey to their dream lives.
The course is also great for those who now work as assistants in an office but would like to transition to the virtual version of their work by their own choice or as a result of changes in company policy.
🤓 What Will I Learn In 90 Day VA?
The core training dives into the various elements of virtual assistance and how to build your portfolio as a VA to position yourself as a master in the field rather than a beginner.
You will need that a lot as you will do virtually everything about a client’s business, such as their blogs, newsletters, emails, social handles, et cetera.
As part of the training, you will discover how to craft winning resumes and apply for jobs. There’s even an application kit template that has a format on all that.
Your mindset as a VA is another topic that gets much attention throughout the modules. I personally am a fan of that feature, as mindset is both our limiting and empowering factor. How you think about yourself as a VA can affect your presentation and, ultimately, your client’s perception of you.
In addition to everything I have mentioned so far, here’s the course curriculum:
- Module 1: Getting started right
- Module 2: Launch your skills today
- Module 3: Content repurpose like a boss
- Module 4: Repurpose blogs
- Module 5: Social media superstar
- Module 6: Instagram & Tiktok
- Module 7: Get paid to pin
- Module 8: Podcast Assistant
- Module 9: Video Editing and YouTube
- Module 10: Email newsletter and scheduling
You can learn in two ways with the 90 Day VA course. You can opt for the core subscription, which gives you access to the complete course library and the bonuses, including access to the Facebook community.
If you need guided learning, you can instead subscribe to the VA course+mentorship bundle, which adds coaching calls, group mentorship, personalized portfolio review, and email access to a dedicated mentor.
Bonuses
Enrolling in the 90 Day VA course automatically grants you access to two exclusive bonuses; the VA Starter Pack and the VA Members Club. Let me explain what they are all about.
VA Starter Pack
If the 90 Day VA course teaches you the skills you need to qualify for jobs, the Starter Pack will show you how to get started as a VA. In this bundle, you will learn how to get clients and handle them effectively.
You will learn how to build confidence in yourself and avoid feeling like a fraud—the infamous imposter syndrome—yeah, you will get rid of that if you had it before.
I advise completing the core skills training part—the 90-day VA course—before proceeding to the starter pack unless you already know your onions in VA and only need to know how to deal with clients.
Here’s everything included in the VA Starter Pack:
- Bonus Class: How to Best Work Online With Business Owners From Start to Finish!
- Bonus Class: How to Use the Templates We Give You With Business Owners
- Bonus Class: How to Network Effectively to Find Jobs
- Bonus Class: How to Create Your Application Kit + Remote Resume
- Bonus Class: Preparing Your Instagram To Get Clients
- Bonus Class: Using Instagram Stories to Find Clients
- Bonus Class: How to Move a Business Owner From Consultation to a Paid Gig!
- Bonus Class: How to Price Your Services
- Bonus Class: How to Get Paid Virtually
- Bonus Class: Taxes & Health Insurance for Virtual Workers
VA Members Club
The VA Members Club is another exclusive offering that your subscription to the 90 Day VA grants you.
The Members Club is a premium forum where the members get additional perks, coaching assistance, and personalized help in the form of:
- Monthly Job Board where job opportunities are posted
- Private online community
- Monthly group Q/A calls by the mentors
- Monthly group live “get shiz done” calls by mentors
- Monthly workshops with industry experts
👍 Pros Of 90 Day VA
Very Comprehensive Training
The 90 Day VA course contains great content, to say the least.
It has a lot of lessons combined into one package, and each lesson packs a great deal of value. Esther dives deep into what to know before choosing to become a VA and shares a lifetime’s worth of personal experience as a VA.
The course is awash with training on overcoming negative mindsets like procrastination and imposter syndrome. You will also learn how to arrange a work schedule that works for you.
Beyond that, Esther teaches many VA-related courses that other VA courses rarely touch, such as podcast management, blog writing, and basic video editing.
The lessons also give you access to additional resources to leverage to learn even more.
And, in passing, I like how the lessons feature screen shares that show what Esther or another course instructor is doing on their computers. It really helps you follow along and avoid getting bored.
Community
The Facebook community is very active, as that is where all parties in the course, including the coaches, interact with each other.
Through the community, you get feedback on your assignments, and you can comment on someone else’s work. At the same time, you will get helpful reminders and motivation that can be a big boost to help you maintain a good pace.
Moreover, the Facebook community makes it easy to find an accountability partner who can help with your learning goals to help you progress faster.
Plenty of Bonuses
One nice thing about the 90 Day VA is that you get more than you pay. The VA starters pack and the VA members club are two big bonuses that unlock access to even more resources and opportunities than you get with the courses.
You can go back to the bonuses section of this review to remind yourself of what is contained in the VA starters pack and the VA members club.
No Hidden Charges
Unlike some VA course creators, Esther keeps her marketing straightforward. She is plain about everything you will be paying for and doesn’t throw additional stuff at you to lure you into making more purchases.
Job Opportunities
The Facebook community has another perk I didn’t talk about in the community section of this review.
From time to time, you can find job posts lying around in the community.
Nevertheless, it is the VA members club that really has the jobs. Every month, more than 50 jobs are posted in the club.
The fact that a training platform can help you gain jobs is an incredible testimony to its value and is probably the strongest argument in its favor.
Helps You Gain Experience
If the assignments seem like stress to you, let me tell you, they shouldn’t be. Okay, you can skip them until you finish the modules, probably because of time.
But the thing is, those assignments pile up to become your portfolio. So you won’t be doing yourself any favors if you don’t complete the assignments.
The good thing about these assignments is that they are tailored to the average client’s expectations, so by doing them, you are gaining real-life experience that will increase your chances of getting hired.
In any case, it is rare to find a course platform that helps you gain job experience without struggling with clients first.
Updates
The 90-Day VA course is one of those few mentorship programs that see the course creator updating their content every now and then.
The VA member club, for instance, gets up to two new member trainings every month. They are usually one-hour-long mini-courses that feature experts in various fields sharing updates on the world of remote work.
Won’t Take Up Much of Your Time
The 90-Day VA coursework is structured so that you can truly finish the course in 90 days even if you spend just five hours a week learning on the platform.
The approach is such that even very busy people won’t find it too hard to learn a reasonable amount each week.
👎 Cons Of 90 Day VA
Complicated Refund Policy
My first grudge against the 90 Day VA is the short refund period. Anything after 14 days is already too late.
Besides, getting your money back is not as simple as just submitting an email and then waiting for your bank’s credit alert. Instead, you have to write your text in a way that basically amounts to recounting how you have benefitted from the course.
It’s weird, but you will have to add in your email the two homework assignments you have completed as well your three key takeaways from one of the weekly Q&A calls.
I would second a move to a no-questions-asked refund policy, but for now, it’s an action-based one.
No Search Functionality
There’s a truckload of content on the platform, but if you need to get to a particular point fast, there’s no search feature to save you minutes of scrolling back and forth.
Is Not Multilingual
Sorry, but if English is not your first language or you are not good at it, you might struggle with understanding the information presented in the course.
Esther even makes a case about that with this hint on her website:
Limited Video Summaries
Many of the videos are very long, and sometimes, you might wish to skim through and pick the points the way you can in the printed text. Well, many of the videos don’t have the summary feature that allows you to read everything being said.
That also means you must be a good note-taker and always have a pen and jotter.
Isn’t Exactly Gender-Neutral
The 90-Day VA course and the rest of the VAI are clearly targeted at women. You will see it in all the feminine hues and tones that characterize the website’s UI.
If all the female-oriented vibes on the platform give you the heebie-jeebies as a guy, then you can opt for a VA course that is more gender-neutral.
💰 How Much Is The 90 Day VA Course?
You can pay for the 90 Day VA course in one of two ways:
- $997 paid once
- $97 paid monthly for 12 months
Paying in full gives you lifetime access to the course and future updates. The Facebook community remains open to you for the next six months, after which you will have to pay $49 monthly or $199 yearly to stay in it.
90 Day VA Discount?
No discounts are running right now for the 90 Day VA course.
Refund Policy
Like I hinted at earlier, the 90 Day VA refund policy is an action-based policy rather than a no-question-asked one. That means a little more protocol to follow before sending your refund request.
Are 90 Day VA students getting results?
There are tons of happy testimonials on the 90 Day VA success stories page. But I was able to dig up user reviews on third-party platforms like Reddit. They are mainly positive too.
In case you are wondering if the 90 Day VA course includes the business training mentioned in the above snapshot, the VA starter pack and members club covers that adequately, and they are included for free with your subscription.
Does Esther Inman have a good reputation?
Esther Inman doesn’t hide her presence online. She’s well reported on by many of her past students (as the above screenshots show) and has been featured on popular sites such as Forbes.
Other things you should know
For one thing, you will see Esther’s documentation of how she started her own VA business. Throughout the modules, she shares valuable insights on the smooth edges and the rough patches of her journey as a self-made virtual assistant.

Should you join 90 Day VA?
The answer to that question is quite subjective. It is not a must that you join the 90 Day VA to become successful in your VA career.
At the same, joining the 90-Day VA will not guarantee your success as a virtual assistant. You must be willing to invest the time and effort into implementing all the training.
Given that the course is pricey even with the split payment plan, if you are cash squeezed, you need to consider purchasing the course very carefully.
In that case, you might be better off digging up all the free resources you can get and see how far you can go with that.
Nevertheless, if you are a beginner to VA and need all the guidance you can get, including personalized help, the 90-Day VA might be your launching pad to a great VA career.
